We are united in being like-minded about having fun with the homebrewing experience! Located on North Carolina's Outer Banks, the OBX Homebrewers was founded and registered with the American Homebrewers Association in December, 2013.
We number about 15 full time members. We vary in age from the early 30s to early 80s and have a wide variety of experiences bringing interesting and diverse points of view.
Sharing our brews and our homebrewing experiences are the highlight of our meetings. Members are always ready to help others. In addition to our club meetings, we visit local microbreweries and pubs, have a family summer picnic, a family December holiday party, and a summer dolphin tour. We also have underway club homebrew competitions and an informal course on detecting, identifying and preventing beer off-flavors. Each member is also starting to train for professionally assessing the flavor and quality of beer using Cicerone (beer Sommelier) manuals.
You do not have to be a member to attend our meeting- so come, have fun and enjoy some terrific homebrews! Start by requesting to be added to our e-mail distribution, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
